Is your business required to have a company health service?

Certain industries have working conditions that involve an increased risk of injuries, health problems and psychosocial stress. For these businesses, regulations require affiliation with an approved occupational health service.

Through collaboration with an approved occupational health service, GTM Kompetanse can offer competitive solutions tailored to the needs of the business.

What is occupational health service (OHS)?

The Occupational Health Service is a professional support for businesses in their work with health, environment and safety. The service helps to develop safe working conditions, prevent health risks and facilitate a good and health-promoting working environment.

Through advice, mapping and preventive measures, the occupational health service supports the business in its systematic HSE work, with the goal of increased well-being and reduced sick leave.

Businesses that want assistance can receive solutions that are tailored to their own needs, based on the requirements of current regulations and the business's risk profile.

What can an occupational health service (OHS) contribute?

An occupational health service provides the business with professional support in its work with health, environment and safety. This involves advice and guidance to management, employees and safety representatives, so that the business can comply with current HSE requirements in a structured and correct manner.

In addition to the statutory basic delivery, the business can use various additional preventive services. These can be adapted as needed and used to strengthen the working environment, prevent health challenges and contribute to lower sick leave.

Does the business meet the legal requirement by having occupational health services through us?

When the business is affiliated with an approved occupational health service through our collaboration, the requirement for occupational health and safety is met where this is required by regulations.

At the same time, there may be other HSE requirements or internal conditions that are not covered by the BHT agreement itself. In such cases, we can assist in mapping the needs and provide guidance on what measures must be in place for the business to comply with current HSE regulations.

Can you assist businesses in our area?

Through collaboration with an approved occupational health service, services can be offered to businesses across the country. Several of the services are well suited for digital delivery, making it possible to assist businesses regardless of geographical location.

If physical follow-up is needed, there are both permanent locations in Norway's largest cities and mobile professional environments that can be used. This provides good conditions for offering occupational health services to businesses throughout Norway.

What types of businesses do you work with?

We work with businesses in various industries and of varying sizes across the country. Through collaboration with relevant professional communities and approved suppliers, we can offer support within health, environment and safety to both small and large businesses.

By combining digital solutions with access to mobile and local professional resources, it is possible to assist businesses regardless of geographic location.

Business portal and permanent advisor

To support ongoing work, access to a digital corporate portal is offered, combined with personal follow-up from a permanent advisor. This gives the business one clear point of contact and easy access to necessary guidance when needed.

The company portal brings together relevant documents, templates and insight tools, including solutions for employee surveys. The portal can also be used for service administration, such as ordering, adjustments and overview of ongoing deliveries.

Sick leave advice line

Through telephone sick leave advice, businesses can receive free guidance from professionals for up to fifteen minutes. The service provides quick and concrete answers to questions related to regulations, follow-up of sick leave and practical matters in everyday work.

Telephone advice is available between 8 am and 4 pm (closed 11 am and 12 pm).

Annual report

To meet documentation requirements, an annual report is prepared that provides an overview of measures and activities implemented during the period.

Statutory affiliation

An agreement is issued documenting that the business is affiliated with a publicly approved occupational health service. This documentation can be requested by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority in connection with inspections.
