Practical firefighting exercise

After completing and passing the course, a practical firefighting exercise must be conducted and documented. The firefighting exercise must be conducted in connection with the online course, and no later than three (3) months after completing and passing the exam.

Practical information:

• The practical firefighting exercise shall be carried out in accordance with:
  • Instructions for conducting a practical firefighting exercise
• The following form must be used for documentation:
  • Documentation of completed practical firefighting exercise

Information, instructions for implementation and practice documents are also received by email continuously after the course has been completed.

There are requirements for who can be an instructor for the practical firefighting exercise. One of the following options is approved:

• Approved instructor for certification in fire protection when performing hot work.
• Firefighter with expertise in conducting practical firefighting exercises.
• A qualified person with expertise in conducting practical firefighting exercises

Information, instructions for implementation and practice documents are received continuously after the course is completed.

The practical fire extinguishing exercise can be carried out in the following ways:

1. We will send an approved instructor to the desired address to conduct the firefighting exercise.

Provided that there is a suitable location to hold the exercise, the fire drill can be conducted internally in the company. The instructor will then meet at the desired location/address and conduct the fire drill in its entirety. The instructor will bring all necessary equipment and materials.

2. Attend an already scheduled course in your area, and only attend the practical part.

You will have the opportunity to attend one of our classroom or in-house courses near you, but will only participate in the firefighting exercise. In this case, the instructor will document the firefighting exercise for you. For an overview of current courses, please contact us.

3. Contact the local Fire Department.

It is also possible to conduct the firefighting exercise through the Fire Department. This must be agreed with the relevant Fire Department directly.
