Course Description
Online fall protection course – Approved documented training
Do you or your employees need documented training in working at height? Our fall protection course provides a thorough and regulatory introduction to the safe use of fall protection equipment. The course is 100% online, flexible and adapted to the requirements of the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority.
Why is fall protection training mandatory?
According to the Regulations on Organization, Management and Participation § 8-1 , the employer is required to ensure that all employees who use fall protection equipment have the necessary and documented training. The purpose of a fall protection course is to prevent fall accidents and ensure that the equipment is used correctly to save lives if an accident does occur.
This is what you will learn in our fall protection course.
Our course combines theory, interactive exercises and visual examples to ensure maximum learning impact. Through the modules we cover:
- Laws and regulations: Understanding of HSE regulations for working at heights.
- Use of equipment: Correct use of fall protection harnesses, fall absorbers, fall blocks and lines.
- Control routines: Daily and periodic control of the equipment (when should it be discarded?).
- Anchoring: Selection of safe anchor points and techniques.
- Rescue and measures: Risk of hanging trauma and necessary first aid.
Who must take a fall protection course?
This course is designed for all industries where work is carried out at heights of over 2 metres, or where there is a risk of falling. Typical occupations include:
- Construction: Carpenters, roofers and scaffolders.
- Industry: Maintenance personnel and fitters.
- Operations: Janitors and technicians working on roofs or in ladders.
Practical implementation and course certificate
The course is divided into two parts to satisfy the requirements for documented training:
-
Theoretical part (Online course): Completed on PC, mobile or tablet in approx. 3 hours . You can start and stop as you see fit.
- Practical training: After the theory, a practical part must be completed with the equipment used in your company. This can be confirmed by a competent person internally. Documentation form is included in the course.
When both parts are completed, a course certificate is issued that documents the competence to the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority and clients.
