Our online course, scaffolding user course, provides documented training in accordance with the regulations on the performance of work § 17-5, which requires that everyone who uses scaffolding must have received the necessary training.

Scaffolding User Course – Safety when Using Scaffolding

The aim of the user course is to qualify workers for the safe use of scaffolding. Our scaffolding user course focuses on safety when working at height and the safe, correct use of different types of scaffolding. We cover different types of work accidents and how to prevent them.

Scaffolding user course - Target group

The course is for people who will be using scaffolding (walking on scaffolding). For those who will be building scaffolding, a scaffolding course 2-5 meters , a scaffolding course 2-9 meters or a scaffolding installer course is required.

  • Final exam for approval
  • Issuance of course certificates upon completion of the course

Yes , the course meets the requirements of the Regulations on the Performance of Work §17-5, which requires that everyone who uses scaffolding has received the necessary training.

The employer must ensure that employees who use scaffolding as a work platform to perform work at height have received training in the use of the scaffolding in question, including a review of the instructions for assembly, use and disassembly, cf. Section 17-8 , second paragraph.

The employer is responsible for ensuring that satisfactory training is provided before work begins.

The training must include, among other things:

  • precautions when using scaffolding
  • scaffolding structure
  • how the scaffolding is installed
  • limitations on changes to the scaffold
  • load limitations
