Customers have expectations of a craftsman with a wet room certificate. When you become a certified craftsman, it is important that you follow the instructions in the Construction Industry's wet room standard (BVN) when carrying out work in wet rooms.

Wet room course - Module A

About module A – Execution

Module A for contractors is a further qualification according to the Construction Industry's wet room standard (BVN) and is not an approval scheme or practical training. The course is for skilled workers in construction trades such as concrete/masonry, painting/wallpapering, carpentry/tinplate, plumbing or electrical, who want to increase their competence and become better at wet room construction within their own trade.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Injuries and causes of injuries
  • Laws, regulations, standards and performance requirements
  • Products, approval schemes and requirements
  • Design of wet rooms
  • Issues in the rehabilitation of wet rooms
  • Checklists
  • Final documentation, if applicable

The course concludes with a four-hour written exam. All topics are related to the subject group the course module is aimed at.

Admission requirements

  • "Wet room course - Basic module" must be completed a maximum of 12 months before the start of the course (alternatively, you must have a wet room certificate in Module B or Module C).
  • Norwegian/Nordic trade/journeyman certificate in one of the construction trades in Norway (or trade/journeyman certificate from Poland, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania approved by NOKUT). Trade/journeyman certificate must be documented.

Practical information

NB! Everyone must have access to BVN (Building Industry Wet Room Standards) when they attend the course, and this access must be obtained by the course participant in advance. Course participants receive a 50% discount on the first year's subscription (applies to new users only).
The course is held in Norwegian, and participants must be able to speak and write Norwegian.

The course runs over one day and lasts from 09.00-16.00.

Course certificate, Certificate

Everyone who has passed the exam in Module A is awarded a course certificate and a wet room certificate as a wet room specialist within the participant's field of expertise.

Practical information

For in-house theory courses, we bring all the necessary equipment to complete the course.

If you have a projector with a screen and a whiteboard available, this is an advantage - but not a requirement.

In addition, there must be suitable premises available for carrying out the theoretical part of the course.

You book in-house courses by contacting us directly by email or phone. Together we will agree on a time, location and any practical needs, so that the course is tailored to your company.

You will receive an invoice from us well in advance of the course start. The invoice must be paid no later than 2 days before the instructor arrives at your address.

The course will not be held if the course fee has not been paid. In the event of non-payment, the claim will still be collected.
