The aim of the training is to provide participants with basic knowledge of the requirements set by the Norwegian Road Sign Authority for those who are to perform manual traffic control on national and county roads. After completing the course, participants should have knowledge of how manual traffic control should be performed in practice, what hazards a traffic controller is exposed to and how best to protect themselves during their work.
The following topics will be reviewed, among others:
- Personal safety
- Braking distances and reaction times
- Signaling and behavior
- Lead car
- Traffic flow and capacity
- Notification requirements
- Practical exercise
Practical information:
The course is held in one day, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The course certificate must be updated every 5 years.

How long does the course last?
The course is held in one day, from 08:30 to 15:00.
Is evidence from the Swedish Public Roads Administration included?
Yes.
Included in the course price is a certificate from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.
Do we need to provide any equipment to complete the course?
We require that there must be suitable premises available for carrying out the theoretical part of the course.
If you have a projector with a screen and a whiteboard, this is an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
How do I book an in-house course?
You book in-house courses by contacting us directly by email or phone. Together we will agree on a time, location and any practical needs, so that the course is tailored to your company.
How do I pay?
You will receive an invoice from us well in advance of the course start. The invoice must be paid no later than 2 days before the instructor arrives at your address.
The course will not be held if the course fee has not been paid. In the event of non-payment, the claim will still be collected.
